Minority variety originating in the Bordeaux area.
Agronomic characteristics:
Horizontal variety that requires bower. Early budding and late-ripening , variety of long cycles. Medium clusters and small berries.
Oenological characteristics:
If they ripen well, the obtained wines are powerful, with lots of color. Suitable for ageing in blend, they provide body and color.
